Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore Florence, Italy

The typical Italian Gothic cathedral and the world's third largest cathedral, stands tall over the city since the end of its construction in the 19th century. The Baptistery, designed by Arnolfo di Cambio in the 13th century, the Dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi in the 15th century, and the Campanile (bell tower) by Giotto di Bondone in the 14th century form the complex of this majestic cathedral. The Renaissance dome is today a symbol of Florence and is visible from any point in the city.
